A water boil advisory has been issued for all of the entire borough of Ashland and the Fountain Springs area of Butler Township.
The advisory was issued after a water main break occurred in the 300 Block of Centre Street early Sunday morning.
Crews have been working over 12-hours on the repair and as of 3:00pm, Sunday, a new 8-foot section of 6-inch pipe was going in place. Assisting with the repairs is A One Service, Inc. of Shenandoah.
Residents are asked to boil their water until further notice.
UPDATE: As of 10:00pm, Sunday, work was completed but water pressure was still returning to normal in the Ashland area.
