Just after 9:00pm, Friday, emergency personnel were called to 37 Medical Crossing Road for an automatic fire alarm.
As emergency personnel were responding, 911 began receiving calls for smoke showing from the building.
As the first chief arrived on scene, the fire was upgraded to a working commercial structure fire.
Based on radio communication, smoke was filling the structure but no fire was found. The smoke was believed to be originating from an HVAC unit. Crews were working on ventilating the building.
