Close Call: Tractor-Trailer Jackknifes, Misses Shenandoah Ambulance Building

An out-of-control tractor-trailer narrowly avoided crashing into the Shenandoah ambulance on Friday morning.
The roads in Schuylkill County were covered with snow on Friday morning, making driving conditions poor.

There are many problematic areas around the county due to our terrain, but one of those areas is Route 924 heading up the hill towards Shenandoah Heights/Ringtown/Brandonville.

Around 9:08 am on Friday, a major incident was narrowly averted after a tractor-trailer lost control coming down the hill in Shenandoah.

The tractor-trailer jackknifed coming down the hill and slid uncontrollably towards the Shenandoah Community Ambulance building at the intersection of Main Street and Washington Street.

Thankfully, the incident only took out a few poles and missed the building by inches.

Several minutes after the incident occurred, the Shenandoah Hook and Ladder posted security video footage of the incident.

No injuries were reported.
