Two Drivers Sustain Minor Injuries in Pottsville Crash

On Thursday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Terry Riley Way and Nichols Street that left both drivers with minor injuries.

According to Pottsville Police, the incident occurred at approximately 3:48 p.m. on May 8, 2025. Cynthia Joseph, 39, of Pottsville, was traveling west on Nichols Street when she attempted to make a left turn onto Terry Riley Way. During the turn, her vehicle crossed into the path of an oncoming car driven by a 65-year-old woman who was heading east on Nichols Street.

The collision disabled both vehicles, which required towing from the scene. Pottsville EMS treated both drivers on location for minor injuries; neither was transported to the hospital.

The Pottsville Fire Department also responded and assisted with traffic control during the incident.
