Speed to Blame for Tractor Trailer Rollover on Burma Road in Schuylkill County

BLYTHE TOWNSHIP - A New York man was injured Monday afternoon when a tractor-trailer hauling construction debris overturned on Burma Road in Blythe Township, blocking both lanes of travel.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 2:04 p.m. on August 11, 2025, just south of Fireman Road.

Troopers said a 2015 International Harvester truck tractor, operated by Jose Manuel Garcia-Bueno, of New York City, was traveling south when it entered a right-hand curve at a speed too fast for road conditions. The truck crossed into the oncoming lane before overturning, spilling its load of construction debris and blocking the roadway.

Garcia-Bueno was freed without the use of mechanical equipment and transported by Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven Area EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital–East with suspected minor injuries. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

Hammers Towing responded to remove the overturned vehicle and trailer, as well as to collect the spilled debris. Following the crash, a Level 1 Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) inspection was conducted on the vehicle.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
