Ashland Man Charged After Girardville Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles




GIRARDVILLE - An Ashland man is facing multiple charges after an incident earlier this month in which his vehicle struck several parked cars in Girardville.
According to Frackville Police, on September 11, 2025, around 11:39 p.m., poloce observed a red Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed along the 2500 block of Main Street in Mahanoy Plane. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued westbound toward Girardville.

When the officer entered Girardville, he observed smoke and brake lights in the roadway. The Dodge Charger, identified as being driven by Antonio DeAngelo, 23, of Ashland, was located in the middle of the 300 block of West Main Street after striking seven vehicles.

Emergency services were requested, including Girardville Fire Department to close the roadway, EMS for two injured individuals, and Steve’s Towing for multiple disabled vehicles.

DeAngelo was detained on scene without incident. Police said he admitted to seeing emergency lights prior to the crash and also acknowledged prior involvement with law enforcement related to fleeing and eluding. He was unable to provide proof of insurance and later failed to respond to follow-up requests for documentation.

As a result of the investigation, police filed the following charges against DeAngelo:
  • Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury (M1)
  • Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer (M2)
  • Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle/Property (M3)
  • Accident Involving Damage to Unattended Vehicle/Property (Summary Offense)
  • Reckless Driving (Summary Offense)
  • Careless Driving (Summary Offense)
  • Required Financial Responsibility (Summary Offense)
DeAngelo was released pending further court proceedings.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 15th, 2025.
