A 72-year-old Schuylkill County man was seriously injured Friday afternoon following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on High Road in Cass Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred on November 21, 2025, around 3:30 p.m. on High Road near the intersection with Condor Lane.
State Police identified the driver as Mark Jordan, 72, of Pottsville.
According to the report, Jordan was operating a 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Standard motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve.
Troopers noted that no safety equipment was reported as being used at the time of the crash.
Investigators determined that Jordan’s motorcycle slid sideways and spun approximately 360 degrees after encountering a slippery section of roadway. The surface was coated with an unknown oily substance, contributing to the loss of control. The motorcycle sustained functional damage in the crash.
Jordan suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported from the scene by Minersville EMS. He was taken to Geisinger-Danville for further treatment.
