One person was injured and flown to an area hospital following an ambulance crash near Ringtown on Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the area of 629 Aristes Road in Union Township. According to information available, a wheelchair ambulance lost control, traveled off the roadway, and rolled onto its side.
One of the occupants of the ambulance sustained injuries and was transported by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of that individual was not released.
Emergency responders from Ringtown and Shenandoah responded to the scene.
No additional details regarding the cause of the crash or the number of occupants involved were available as of Monday afternoon.
