A Pottsville man is facing felony charges after police say he was traveling nearly three times the posted speed limit when he crashed into another vehicle, seriously injuring both drivers and leaving a woman with life-threatening injuries.
According to Pottsville Police, the crash occurred on March 13, 2026, at approximately 9:04 p.m. at the intersection of 21st Street and West Market Street in Pottsville.
Police responded to the scene and found a 2019 Honda Accord, driven by 22-year-old Leudry Soriano Martinez, of Pottsville, off the north side of the roadway. The second vehicle, a 2023 Hyundai Tucson, was being driven by a 29-year-old Pottsville woman.
Investigators reported that both vehicles sustained severe disabling damage and that both drivers suffered serious injuries in the collision.
The female driver was flown by medical helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Trauma Center for treatment of several life-threatening injuries.
An investigation conducted by police, including a collision analysis and reconstruction by specialists with the Pennsylvania State Police Investigation Unit, determined that Martinez was allegedly traveling 93 mph in a posted 35 mph zone at the time of the crash.
According to the investigation, Martinez's Honda Accord struck the Hyundai Tucson as the SUV was traveling west from 21st Street onto West Market Street.
Based on the findings of the investigation, authorities requested an arrest warrant for Martinez.

- Reckless Driving
- Careless Driving
- Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed
