Barbara E. Delay
, beloved mother, sister, gram, 79 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at St. Luke's Carbon Campus in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.

Born Monday, November 4, 1946 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Bennnage) DeLay. Barbara was also predeceased by; sister Nancy Baddick.

Surviving are son, Bryan E. DeLay and his wife Sharon; sister, Carol Schickram; grandchild, Dylan DeLay and his companion Keli Baker; step grandchildren, Christopher Hartz and his wife Jacqueline, Amanda A. Hartz; step great granddaughter, Miranda Hartz. Nieces and nephews also survive Barbara.

A 1964 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Barbara retired from the former Atlas Powder Co. after many years of service. A talented knitter, baker, and ceramic artist, she also enjoyed spending her leisure days solving puzzles on the computer.

Catherine Ann Schaeffer
, 73, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday, June 17th, at home with her family by her side.

She was born in Pottsville on September 6, 1952, and was a daughter of the late Stanley and Marie (Meloditz) Woznicki.

Catherine was the loving wife of Thomas E. Schaeffer, to whom she had been married for nearly 53 years.

Catherine was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1970. Following graduation, she attended Empire Beauty School and pursued her passion for hairstyling. She later fulfilled her dream of owning her own business, opening Just Your Style, a hair salon that she successfully owned and operated for 20 plus years.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her husband, Catherine is also survived by children: Regina Sonon, wife of Philip, Cressona and Zachery Schaeffer, companion of Amy Heffron, Orwigsburg; grandchildren Lylah and Jude Sonon, Dawson and Elsie Schaeffer and Benjamin Heffron; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Stanley Woznicki Jr and Gregory Woznicki, and a sister Carol Kramer Robinson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 29th at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:15 am until the time of mass. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Joseph A. Jacobs
, 75 of Zion Grove, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 19, 2026, at his home.

Born in Shenandoah on July 21, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Stepsus) Jacobs.

A 1968 graduate of Shenandoah High School. Joe was drafted and served in the United States army. Joe was a kind soul, compassionate and all-around good guy. He worked in construction for his entire career. Joe enjoyed the beauty of nature- camping, fishing, bird watching and observing wildlife.

He was a member of the Nuremberg American Legion and The Shenandoah Fish & Game Club. He found peace surrounded by family and friends while enjoying a few cold ones and listening to his favorite tunes often playing DJ on the juke box.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Nancy (Donchak)Jacobs, 3 brothers-Thomas Jacobs, Silver Spring Maryland, Benjamin Jacobs, Shenandoah Heights and Michael Jacobs(Diane), Texas, 1 sister- Dorothy Conklin with Michael of Lebanon, PA. Brother in-laws- Rick (Donna)and Tony(Angie) Donchak, nephews- Edward (Ted)Jacobs and Derek Donchak, niece- Michelle Jacobs, along with several cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Be kind to others and lend a helping hand and if possible, donate to the Hillside SPCA.

Elizabeth A. "Betsy" Bro, 85, of Weston Place, passed away on June 22, 2026, at her home.

Betsy was born on June 14, 1941, in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Betty) Petusky.

Betsy was a graduate of J.W. Cooper High School, Class of 1958.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her son, Dennis M. Bro, her brother, Jack Petusky and her sister, Barbara Evans.

Betsy is survived by her daughter, Eileen Buchinsky and her husband, James (Yogi) and her son, Daniel Bro and his wife, Tracy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jimmy Buchinsky, Mark Buchinsky, Felicia Bro and Carson Bro.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday morning, June 26th from 8:30 to 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc. in Shenandoah. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Divine Mercy Parish, 218 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah and will be officiated by Fr. Christopher Zelonis. Burial will immediately follow in the Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Contributions in Betsy’s memory may be made to Divine Mercy Parish.

Harry Edward Wilson, Jr.
, age 47, of Pottsville, PA passed away Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, PA on August 11, 1978, he was the son of his late father Harry Edward Wilson Sr. His mother Deborah Ann (Witman) Marx and Michael "DADA" Marx, survives him in Pottsville.

Harry was a graduate of the I.U. 29 in MarLin. He attended the Avenues and St. Joe's Special Learning, where he had many friends. Harry loved fishing, camping, swinging on his swing in his backyard, music, being outdoors enjoying the sunshine, and swimming.

In addition to his Mother and DADA, Harry is survived by brother Jason Wilson and Michelle Keller, his good friend Kylie and Aiden and Nevaeh; sister Gerri; nephew Billie; sister Stacie and family; step-sister Michelle Marx; Derek, Effie, and Vinny; step-sister Amanda Marx and Kayla and Daniel; paternal grandmother Mary Witman; caretaker Michelle Stephenson; Our "Angel" that was there at the end; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held private.

In remembrance, please plant a yellow flower for Harry's sunshine to show through.
