Three Charged in Pottsville Theft Investigation After Stolen Items Allegedly Sold

Three Pottsville residents are facing charges following an investigation into property allegedly stolen from a pickup truck and the subsequent sale of a pair of stolen binoculars at a city business.
Pottsville Police have charged Raymond Howard Gregory II, 36; Lisa Anne Anderson, 30; and Sara Jane Parry, 60, in connection with the July 24, 2026, incident.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Pottsville Police, the investigation began after the victim reported items stolen from his pickup truck while it was parked at Diehl's Auto Sales.

The victim told police that approximately $650 worth of property was missing from the truck, including a pair of Vortex binoculars, along with approximately $50 in change.

During the investigation, police learned that the binoculars had allegedly been taken to Cash and Trade in Pottsville.

Surveillance video obtained at Diehl's Auto Sales show Parry enter the vehicle and take the items.

According to police, surveillance footage from Cash and Trade showed Gregory and Anderson entering the store with the binoculars. Investigators allege the binoculars were then sold to the business for $75.

Court records show Gregory is charged with receiving stolen property, a first-degree misdemeanor, and theft by deception-false impression, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Anderson faces the same two charges, first-degree misdemeanor receiving stolen property and second-degree misdemeanor theft by deception-false impression.

A third defendant, Parry, is charged in connection with the original theft. Court records show she faces first-degree misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking-movable property and receiving stolen property.

Gregory was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley. Bail was set at 10% of $2,500, and he was committed to Schuylkill County Prison after being unable to post bail.
Gregory was originally scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 17, but that hearing was continued. A new preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 31 at 10:15 a.m. before Reiley.

Anderson and Parry remain wanted on their respective charges. Court records currently list both of their cases as inactive while awaiting preliminary hearings.
