Student Apprehended at North Schuylkill for Bringing Pellet Gun to School

A student was apprehended Friday morning at North Schuylkill High School after officials got word he brought a gun to school.

On Thursday, Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale announced that he has released $299.1 million in aid to help support retirement plans for police, firefighters, municipal workers who work to keep communities safe and functioning including those in Schuylkill County.

Free Naloxone to Be Available Next Week Across Pennsylvania

The Wolf Administration announced Thursday that naloxone will be provided for free to any Pennsylvanian who wants it at nearly 80 locations across the state, primarily at state health centers and county/municipal health departments, on Thursday, December 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., as part of the administration’s ongoing effort to reduce the number of opioid overdoses and get residents into treatment.
