UGI Replacement Project to Begin Monday in Pottsville
UGI Utilities, Inc. will begin a natural gas main replacement project in the City of Pottsville beginning Monday, May 4. This project is part of the Company’s multi-year $1.2 billion infrastructure betterment initiative. The focus of this initiative is to replace cast iron and unprotected steel pipelines with facilities made of contemporary materials.

Fatal Crash in Tremont Twp.
A crash has turned fatal in Tremont Twp.
Emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Tremont Road and Camp Road in Tremont Twp. around 12:30pm.
Initial calls came in as a motor vehicle accident with entrapment and fire.
We have now learned that one person has died in the crash.
Route 125 was closed for a period of time after the crash.

Pennsylvania State Police and PEMA Deployment to Maryland Will Be Begin Later This Week
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) announced today that Maryland accepted its offer of resources to assist with the State of Emergency currently active in the City of Baltimore. Pennsylvania offered assistance in response to an Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) request that was put out by Maryland this week.

Schuylkill County Man Spends Month in Jail Posing as Brother
An Ashland man spent a month in Northumberland County jail posing as his brother.
According to Pennlive.com, Brian Dietrick, 44, of Ashland was pulled over for a minor traffic violation and claimed to his brother Lewis.

According to Pennlive.com, Brian Dietrick, 44, of Ashland was pulled over for a minor traffic violation and claimed to his brother Lewis.
He claimed to be his older brother Lewis, 49, who was wanted for failing to pay court costs.
Northumberland County District Attorney Ann Targonski speculates since Brian Dietrick was wanted on drug and other charges in several counties including Northumberland, he decided to assume his brother's identity because of the lesser charge against him.Brian had spent the month in jail until Lewis had learned of his brother's arrest and contacted Shenandoah police last week.
