A Pennsylvania State Police SERT vehicle was involved in a hit and run crash in Cressona on Wednesday morning.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred just before 8:00am, on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 at the railroad underpass on Route 183.
Police say the PSP SERT's Ford Bearcat, an armored response vehicle, was traveling northbound through the underpass when a Mercedes Benz, traveling in the opposite direction, veered slightly into the oncoming lane.
The driver's side mirrors struck and broke off both vehicles.
The driver of the Mercedes failed to stop and fled the scene south on Route 183.
