The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office has been called to the scene of a fire in Hegins late Wednesday.
Around 8:45pm, emergency personnel were called to 1256 West Main Street, Valley View, Hegins Township for a report of smoke pouring from the home.
Firefighters arrived on scene and confirmed heavy smoke coming from the 1st and 2nd floors of the home.
Several minutes after arriving on scene, command of the scene advised there was a possibility that someone was still in the structure.
One victim would later be rescued from the building and the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was called.
By 9:30pm, most units were clearing the scene.
A State Police Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate.
