Frackville Woman Crashes Into Dumpster, Flees Scene on Foot

A Frackville woman is facing possible charges after crashing her vehicle into a dumpster and fleeing the scene on foot Monday afternoon.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., Frackville Police were dispatched to the area of Harper’s Autobody, located at 150 North Lehigh Avenue, for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival and investigation, police determined that Jasmine Robertson, 46, of Frackville, was traveling south on Lehigh Avenue in a blue 2013 Buick Encore when she lost control while negotiating a left curve. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a metal dumpster in the parking lot of Harper’s Autobody, causing disabling damage to the SUV.

Following the crash, Robertson fled the scene on foot. She was later located by police in a wooded area behind A&M Notary, a short distance from the accident site.

Authorities suspected Robertson was under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance. She was transported to Lehigh Valley Medical Center for blood testing. Charges are pending the results.

Frackville Fire Department and Frackville EMS also responded to the scene and assisted police during the incident.
