Shamokin Woman Charged After Alleged Retail Theft at TJ Maxx at the Fairlane Village Mall

A Shamokin woman is facing charges following an alleged retail theft incident at the TJ Maxx store in Norwegian Township in December.

According to court documents filed by the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, Jessica Lynn Wagner, 51, of Shamokin, is charged with:

  • Retail Theft – Take Merchandise (Summary)
  • Receiving Stolen Property (M2)

The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred on December 13, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m. at TJ Maxx Store #1583, located at the Fairlane Village Mall in Norwegian Township.

State police say surveillance footage showed a female suspect entering the store and selecting several items before concealing them in a black tote bag. The suspect allegedly exited the store without paying for the merchandise, triggering an alarm at the exit.

Loss prevention personnel reported that the items taken included a white pajama set, white pants, and a tumbler, with a total combined value of $69.97.

According to the affidavit, investigators later received over 50 anonymous tips through PSP Tips identifying Wagner as the suspect. Troopers conducted a records check and compared a PennDOT photo to store surveillance footage, which they said was a significant match.

Police later made contact with Wagner by phone.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 14, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Edward Lewis in Port Carbon.
