Patti Dietrich
, aged 66, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on May 30, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Coaldale, PA. Born on September 3, 1959, in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, Patti was the beloved daughter of the late Mark P. Heydt Sr. and Lovada (Steigerwalt) Heydt.

Throughout her life, Patti dedicated many years to serving others in the healthcare field, where her compassion and commitment left a lasting impact on countless individuals. Her professional life was marked by a genuine care that extended beyond her work, reflecting in her personal passions as well.

Patti found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her love for reading, solving puzzles, and engaging in various crafts. However, above all, her greatest happiness came from the treasured moments spent with her grandchildren, through whom her spirit and kindness continue to live on.

She is survived by her loving fiancé of 32 years, Keith Amey and her two daughters: Kimberly, wife of Eric Buskirk of Coplay, Brandie Schnell and her husband Francis Bennick of Jim Thorpe. Patti was the loved sister of her brother, Mark P. Heydt Jr. of Palmerton, and sister, Kim, wife of George Kerth of Macungie. Her legacy is further enriched by her six cherished grandchildren: Wyatt Bennick, Madi McLoughlin, Kendra McLoughlin, Sylas Buskirk, Aleah Buskirk, and Gianna Buskirk, who were the light of her life as well as her 22 nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.She was predeceased by her sister, Paula Musselman, wife of the late Albert Musselman of Lehighton, brother Keith Heydt of Waynesville, MO. And a nephew.

A graveside service to honor Patti’s life will be held on Friday, June 5th, at 11:30 a.m. at the Dinkey Memorial Church Cemetery located at 1742 Dinkey Road, Lehighton, PA 18235.

Patti Dietrich’s life was one of dedication, warmth, and love. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
