The winners of the elections have been announced, but what if only Schuylkill County's votes counted? Who would we have chosen?

Fire crews responded to a brush fire around 1PM in East Union Township.

Fire Crews were called to the 600 block of Spruce Street in Ashland for a fully involved structure fire.

Woman Dies in Brush Fire In East Union Township

A brush fire in East Union Township turned deadly Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1:30pm, fire personnel were called to 2248 Panther Valley Road in Wayne Township for a house fire.

According to sources, former Pottsville Football Head Coach Bill Flynn passed away on Monday.

The Delville Coverage Bridge spans the Sherman Creek near Duncannon in Perry County and dates back to 1889. Last night, the bridge burned. The fire in under investigation.

Fire Crews at a Working House Fire near Ringtown

Just before 11pm Sunday, fire crews were called to 357 Aristes Road in Union Township, near Ringtown, for a working structure fire.

Sunday proved to a be a busy day with brush fires around Schuylkill County.

The Rush Twp. Police are looking for assistance in identifying the man in these photos.

Around 2:45pm, emergency personnel were called to 90 Seven Stars Road in Manheim Twp. for a fully involved structure fire.

Just after 2pm Sunday, emergency personnel were called to 41 Long Lane in Ryan Twp for a fully involved house fire. This is the Grier City area of the township.

Around 5:30am, Sunday, November 2, 2014, emergency personnel were called to the 700 block of Walnut Street in Ashland for a motor vehicle accident.

Frackville - Local retailer, Mustard Seed Mercantile will team up with Girl Scouts in Heart PA – Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Troop #31806, Hegins, to host The 2014 Talented Turkey Contest from October 29th to November 22, 2014. Any local school-aged children are eligible to submit their version of a turkey using any creative medium they choose including paper, paint, clay, foam, or other materials. Turkeys will be on display through November 22, 2014 at the Mustard Seed Mercantile’s Schuylkill Mall location near Sear’s.

The victim of the fatal crash on Route 309 has been identified. The man who died in the crash was Raymond J. Poreca, 76, of Hometown.

Schuylkill County High School Football Scores for Week #10

We have just received word that Governor Corbett will be visiting Schuylkill County Saturday afternoon.

Just after 5:30pm Friday evening, emergency personnel were called to Route 309 near Skipper Dippers, just north of Hometown, for a motor vehicle accident.

PennDot announced Friday that the Route 309 bridge project over Lizard Creek in West Penn Township is completed.

Crews are at the scene of a working structure fire at 1044 Centre Turnpike in West Brusnwick Twp.

Suspected Cop Killer, Eric Frein, Captured

According to numerous sources, the Pennsylvania State Police have confirmed that suspected cop killer Eric Frein has been captured and is custody.

The water main break reported by the Minersville Borough on Wednesday has been repaired but water boil advisory is still in effect per the borough's Facebook page.

Brewer's Outlet to Close in Pottsville

After 51 years in business, the Brewer's Outlet is scheduled to close mid November.

The well known beer distributor announced via their Facebook page Thursday morning that they will close their doors on November 15th.
