Beach at Locust Lake State Park Closed
Park Manager Lewis Williams announced earlier Thursday that the beach at Locust Lake State Park would be closed.
Williams reported that high levels of coliform are why its closed.
The closure begins June 4th, 2015 and will last until further notice.

The 32st Annual Schuylkill County Fair will soon be here. The Fair is only a month away. The Schuylkill County Fairgrounds are located at 2270 Fair Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA and during the week of July 27 thru August 1 the Fair will be open for the public’s enjoyment. Fair hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday opening at 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Saturday opening at 11 a.m. The theme this year is “Harvest the Fun”.

Pennsylvania Department of Health Warns of Imposter Letters
HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Department of Health has received reports in Dauphin and York counties of an imposter letter to homeowners stating that their homes are in violation of local housing codes and that the violations must be remedied or a fine will be imposed.
The letter uses an outdated Health Department logo and contains the fraudulent signature of the current Secretary of Health.
The Department of Health has no authority to enforce private housing codes.
Local law enforcement authorities have been notified.
