Inspector General Files Welfare Fraud Charges on 68 Across Pennsylvania
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) filed welfare fraud charges against 68 individuals between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31, 2017. These charges will generate a total of $420,018.93 in restitution paid to the commonwealth, as well as additional cost savings as the defendants will be temporarily disqualified from receiving public benefits in the programs they defrauded.

Jean H. Andrusyshyn, 86, of, Barnesville, passed away Thursday, April 6th, at St Lukes Hospital, Coaldale.
Jean was born in Frackville, PA on September 11, 1930, a Grand daughter of the late Ludwiga Orchowski and daughter of the late Anna Costanzo.
She graduated from Frackville High School Class of 1949.
She was a member of St. Richards Church, Barnesville.
Jean retired from Model Garment Frackville, where she had worked for many years.
She was a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America. She was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband John and a Sister Stella Lazusky.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Rosanne, wife of Jack Barrett, of Dale City VA;
Gloria, wife of Mike Burda, of Barnesville; two sons Gregory, husband of Tracey
Andrus, of Royersford; Gary, husband of Celinet Andrus, of Collegeville; and
a brother, Nicholas, husband of Joan Arch, of Orwigsburg.
She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richards Church, Barnesville, at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 11th, with Reverend Joseph T. Whalen officiating.
Friends may call from Tuesday at 9 AM at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Mahanoy City.
Interment will follow at St John Ukrainian Cemetery Frackville, PA.

Preceded in death this past November, his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Frances A. (Kruzcek) Marcin he is survived by; daughters, Mrs. Judith A. Grainger, RN wife of Paul of Dacula, GA, Dr., Jacqueline A. Marcin of York; sons, John J. Marcin and his wife Jeanine of Marlborough , CT,, Dr. Robert F. Marcin of Lake Hauto, Scott M. Marcin of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Lauren Grainger, Sarah Grainger, Genna, Julia, Johnny, and Joey Marcin; sister, Mrs. Mary L. Garrison of Hershey.
A 1952 graduate of the former St. Jerome's High School, John attended Penn State University. He was a life long member of St. Jerome R.C.C. of Tamaqua, and member of the South Ward Fire Company.
John, had more than 43 years experience in the consumer finance and banking industry. Hew was last employed as Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer of Citizens National Bank of Slatington, now First Niagra Bank. Previously he served as a Retail Lending Officer of Pennsylvania National Bank, now M&T Bank of Pottsville. John was a former Branch Manager of Beneficial Consumer Discount Co., Panther Valley Loan Company, Pottsville, Mahanoy City, and Schuylkill Haven, Home Consumer Discount Company of Nazareth, and American Finance Company Harrisburg, and Preferred Finance Company of Tamaqua.
John, enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, fishing, and was a good ice skater in his younger years.
Born Wednesday, August 15, 1934 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late Michael A., and Bernetta (Stahler) Marcin. He was also predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Mildred Harahus, Mrs. Grace Faust, Mrs. Dolores A. Erbe; brother, Joseph Marcin.
