FEMA Awards Grants to Schuylkill County Fire Companies
The projects funded through these grants will provide for professional training, wellness and fitness programs, personal protective equipment, modifications to facilities, and supplies that support firefighting and non-affiliated EMS operations and safety.
The following departments received funding in Schuylkill County
- North End Fire Company, Pine Grove, $164,000
- Sheppton Oneida Volunteer Fire Company, Sheppton, $17,142.85
- Ravine Fire Company, Pine Grove, $78,500
- Ryan Township Fire Company, Barnesville, $107,014.28
Also receiving funding within the 9th District were:
- Strausstown Volunteer Fire Company #1, Bernville, $30,000
- Atlas Fire Company, Mount Carmel, $39,809.52
- Muhlenberg Township Fire & Rescue, Inc., Temple, $387,431.81
- Glen Lyon-Alden Volunteer Hose Company, Newport Township, $65,476.19

Flood Mitigation Efforts in Tremont Township, Pine Grove Area, Supported by New State Grant
