Woman Charged with Attempting to Drown Baby

The Republican Herald is reporting that a woman in West Penn Township allegedly attempted to drown her 1 month old daughter earlier Friday in a bath tub.

A 7 month old infant has reportedly died in fire Friday in Lehighton, Carbon County.

Schuylkill County Native Writing Pilot for New NBC Drama "Centralia"

Last week, Skook News published an article regarding NBC buying a pilot for a new drama named "Centralia". The idea for the show actually came from a Schuylkill County native.

Nativity BVM's opponent for this week was scheduled to be National Collegiate Prep School but it has been announced that the school out of Washington D.C. will forfeit. No reason was announced.
