WEATHER ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Schuylkill County


After being issued a Winter Storm Watch earlier, the National Weather Service has changed Schuylkill County a Winter Weather Advisory.

WEATHER ALERT: Winter Storm Watch Issued for Schuylkill County


The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for this weekend into Monday.

Santa Drops into Shenandoah to Kick Off Holiday Season

On Friday, Mrs. T's continued the annual tradition of inviting Santa and his elves to drop into Shenandoah to kick off their holiday season.

The event, in it's 13th year, was sponsored by Ateeco Inc., Mrs. T's Pierogies with Santa and his elves skydiving into Shenandoah Valley's Veteran's Stadium promptly at noon.

Dave Smith from Spinjammers Entertain ment and T-102 emceed the event along with Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa's elves who offered facepainting.

Also in attendance were Ateeco Inc.President Tom Twardzik and the brand new CPO, Chief Pierogy Officer Kayla Goff.

After Santa landed, he hopped aboard the Polish American Fire Company's antique fire truck with some about 20 children who led a parade through the borough with Shenandoah Fire Apparatus.

The parade ended at the A.P. Damato Post where Santa met with children.
