Tamaqua Police Cleared in Taser Death
According to the Times News, the Tamaqua Borough Council was informed on Tuesday night that the Tamaqua Police have been cleared of any wrong doing in connection with the death of a man who died after being tasered by a stun gun back in August.

Butler Township Police would like to warn public, especially the elderly, of a telephone scam being conducted in our area. The suspects are contacting person via landline telephone posing as IRS agents demanding immediate payment for back taxes and threatening imprisonment if demands are not met. Man Sent to Prison for Attempted Murder
Joseph Yeich, of Mahanoy City, was sentenced to 12-24 years in state prison on Monday for a December 2013 incident in the borough. Yeich was found guilty back in December.
