Pottsville Man Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that David Castro, age 28, of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty Thursday, March, 8th, 2018 to conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, before U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani.

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue today urged taxpayers and tax professionals to take extra precautions to protect their computer systems and data following recent reports of several tax-related scams. One new scam involves cyber criminals filing falsified tax returns and obtaining fraudulent tax refunds from taxpayers by posing as Internal Revenue Service officials and debt collectors.
