House Resolution to Call for Investigation of Schuylkill County Commissioner Halcovage Unanimously Passes House Judiciary Committee


On Friday, Reps. Jerry Knowles (R-Schuylkill/Berks/Carbon), Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin/Schuylkill) and Tim Twardzik (R-Schuylkill) announced the unanimous passage of House Resolution 99, by the House Judiciary Committee.

PennDOT Awarded $21,012,220 Million Federal Grant to Reconstruct Route 61 Between Frackville and Saint Clair


Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) announced Friday that the Department of Transportation awarded a $21,012,220 grant to reconstruct a distressed 4.5-mile section of Pennsylvania’s Route 61 that runs between St. Clair and Frackville.

Schuylkill County Woman Pleads Guilty To Methamphetamine Trafficking


The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Samantha Blume, age 30, formerly of Frackville, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion to aiding and abetting the distribution of methamphetamine.

On Thursday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Shaquane Scott, 31, of Frackville, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion to six years’ imprisonment for distribution of crystal methamphetamine.
